  • GIFT OFFERING | MHCC

2025 Gift Offering November 30, 2025 Dear Mars Hill Family: One of Mars Hill Community Church’s best traditions is to give/receive a special offering at Christmas. We call it the “Gift Offering.” In light of God’s gift to us in His Son, Jesus, we want to offer a special year end gift to His work on earth through our church. Every year we designate a specific use for the Gift Offering. Last year we designated it to help cover the full cost of the new Lodge. By God’s grace, we will be able to move into it very soon with it fully paid for. This year we want the Gift Offering to be used to cover any potential budget short-falls we may experience at year’s end and then begin to re-plenish our “designated fund” which can and will be available for anticipated land and facility expansion needs. Our hope and desire for this special year-end offering is that it will be a prayerful and worshipful experience for every individual and family. To that end, the procedures for the gift offering are simple: Each individual and/or family should treat this as a spiritual and personal exercise of worship—praying, thanking God for the greatest gift—Jesus—and asking God to use our financial gifts to bring many people to know Him. Ask God how much He wants you to give for this special gift to His work. When you’re ready, before or after any service (December 7th, 14th, 21st, or 24th) come in a spirit of prayer together to the manger set up on the stage and put your gift offering in. We have special Gift Offering envelopes available for your use should you wish to use them. Investing our lives in sharing Jesus Christ and growing His followers, Tom Gray Senior Pastor Give Now All gifts must be received or post-marked by December 31, 2025 to count for 2025 contributions.

Your student will be supervised and supported at all times to ensure their safety and comfort. What is your policy on homesickness? We understand that homesickness can happen, and our goal is to support students while helping them grow in maturity and confidence. If a student feels homesick our leaders will come alongside them, talk with them, and help them re-engage with their group and activities. We do not allow students to call home, as this often increases homesickness rather than easing it. Instead, our leaders provide encouragement, prayer, and consistent support until the student feels settled. If there is ever a true emergency or a situation that requires parental involvement, we will contact you directly. What about food allergies or dietary needs? TVR will accommodate many common dietary needs (gluten-free, nut-free, vegetarian, etc.). Please list your student’s dietary needs on the registration form. If you have specific concerns, contact us in advance so we can coordinate with the camp kitchen. What if I have a school activity during the weekend? We understand that students may have school or sports commitments during the retreat. Due to the distance of the retreat, we do not offer accommodations such as late drop off or early pickup. Students must attend for the entirety of the retreat. Can I get a refund if something happens and we are no longer able to attend? Partial refunds will be given ($50 deposit is non-refundable) up to February 13, 2026. No refund will be given after we pass the one-week out mark from the event departure date. What should I bring? Please view the parent packet above for a full packing list for the weekend. How will parents receive updates during the retreat? There will be one text update each day. We will also provide text updates when we depart and arrive to and from the retreat. How can I contact a staff member during the retreat if needed? Please contact only through text during the retreat, emails will not be checked. Who can I contact for any additional questions? • COLIN WELCH - PARIS | MHCC

Colin Welch - Paris, France In 1905 the French government passed a law called La Laïcité. This was the beginning of the official separation of church and state. Though it was first presented as a “neutral position” on religion, it has resulted in an anti-religious mindset, growing to the point that part of the French identity is to be non-religious. Currently, France is ranked the 7th most atheistic country in the world—only 1.2% claim to be Evangelical Christians. Colin is serving in Paris, France with EFCA ReachGlobal in arts ministry, focusing on using art as a bridge to share the Gospel through relationships with artists. His vision is to see the healing of the disconnect between Christ and culture through the lives and work of artists. Website Donate

  • CORE VALUES | MHCC

OUR MISSION The mission of Mars Hill Community Church has been given to us by Jesus: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go there for and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you always to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 In light of Jesus' words to His disciples, Mars Hill Community Church exists to invest our lives in sharing Jesus Christ and grow His followers. OUR VALUES While our mission is why we exist, our values are what we do to accomplish our mission. As Disciples of Jesus Christ, our values are key commitments to which we are resolutely devoted and virtues in which we aspire to grow both individually and corporately. Prayerfully Dependent Cultivate relationship with God through regular prayer Our efforts are in vain if we are not abiding in Christ through prayer. Prayer is the common thread that runs through all areas of our Christian walk. Through prayer we can pursue a relationship with God that is both intimate and dependent. Ministry Minded Actively develop and deploy spiritual gifts to serve the others. When most of us think of ministry, we immediately think of "professional" ministers. However, the Scripture clearly teaches that every disciple of Jesus is also a minister. The Holy Spirit grants unique gifts to all born again Christ followers. These gifts are meant to be deployed in the body of believers to help the body mature and grow. Biblically Centered Be defined and directed by God's Word The Bible is God’s holy, inerrant word. God’s word serves as the foundation of our life and it is essential to understanding God, mankind, history, and life in general. The Bible is truth that rightly defines us and directs us in all areas of our lives. Missionally Engaged Seeking opportunities to have gospel conversations locally and globally The Church is the hope of the world. We have been entrusted as ambassadors with the message of reconciliation. Therefore, our ultimate motive in every relationship is to embody and proclaim the life giving message of hope and restoration only found in Jesus. We accomplish this by actively seeking to create "God-space" in all our relationships through loving service and conversation. Relationally Connected Build authentic Relationships of Encouragement and Accountability All of us have a deep longing for community in our lives. We need others in our lives and cannot be all that God has intended us to be without significant, meaningful relationships with others. It's in authentic relationships with others that we can look most like Jesus. Courageously Generous Living as a faithful steward, rather than an owner, of resources entrusted to us. Jesus identifies wealth as one of the primary competitors for our heart's affection. As a disciple of Jesus we must regularly remind ourselves that we are simply managers of our resources rather than owners. We give to the purposes and work of God not to gain anything from Him but to demonstrate our gratitude and trust. We regularly need to be challenged to courageously give. When we do, we will see God's faithful provision and love.
