Women discipling women through the teaching of Scripture, relationship building and helping ministries in order to bring glory to God and strengthen His church.
"But we behaved gently when we were among you, like a devoted mother tenderly caring for her own children. Having such a deep affection for you, we were delighted to share with you not only God’s good news but also our own lives, because you had become so very dear to us."
1 Thessalonians 2:7-8

The Mars Hill Women's Ministry believes that our purpose is God's glory and that our authority for living is God's word. We seek to exhibit the characteristics of biblical women through the study of God's word, community life, compassion and care and living out a helper / lifegiver design.
The five areas of focus for our Women's MInistry are:
-
Submission to the headship of the church. (1 Timothy 2:9-15)
-
Equipping women for lifegiving compassion ministries in home and church and community. (1 Timothy 3:11)
-
Cultivating relationships and community within the church. (1 Timothy 5:1-16)
-
Discipleship by study and example to grow in Christlikeness and to fulfill our creation design as women. (Titus 2:3-5)
-
Always looking to God's word as authority and not being driven by current practices or feelings. (2 Timothy 3:1-9, 14-16)
Depending on God's grace, to Him alone be the glory.

FELLOWSHIP
The Bible teaches that God offers us a place in His covenant family! Isolation and independence are the opposite of what God desires for us. As a part of God's family, we are meant to share life together, to strengthen one another, and to disciple each other in growing in grace. Fellowship provides opportunities to connect and to share our gifts and graces with one another. The goal of every fellowship activity is to glorify God and exalt His name together.
GROW
We are dependent on the grace of Christ alone to grow in his grace and knowledge. At Mars Hill we seek to provide discipleship through multi-generational teaching that begins with sound doctrine based on the authority of God's infallible word and is coupled with sharing our lives so that we can build a legacy of biblical womanhood to be passed from one generation to the next.
SERVE
We desire to point one another to the power and strength offered in Christ which guides us in caring for the spiritual and practical needs of the church. We reflect his image as we serve his body. Mars Hill seeks to provide opportunities for women to serve the church and the community outside the church for His glory.
Grow Together
1
Bible Studies
Bible Studies meet at various times throughout the week, vary in group size and are a great way to get to know other women in the church. While fellowship is a byproduct, studying God's Word is the focus of these groups. Bible studies are always open to new members and some Bible studies may feature childcare.
2
Life Groups
Life Groups typically meet weekly and feature fellowship, prayer and sermon discussion or Bible study. We call them "Life" groups because of the relational aspect—you "do life" together. These groups may close to new people after reaching capacity. Co-ed groups also exist.
3
D-Groups
Discipleship Groups (D-Groups) are closed groups of approximately 3-5 women that run for 1-2 years. Through active study of God's word and authentic relationships marked by transparency, encouragement and accountability, the goal of D-Groups is to multiply into new groups upon completion.
