FALL MISSION TRIP 2026

Mars Hill Students

 

The week of September 19–26, 2026, we will take a team of students to partner with FCA Dominican Republic to serve the local community through hands-on ministry. Our goal is to share the Gospel with children in Boca Chica through sports ministry, discipleship camps, construction, and local evangelism. This page provides key trip details, expectations, safety information, a full parent FAQ, and serves as the starting point for the application process. Participation is selective, and submitting an application expresses interest, not guaranteed placement, as this is a mission trip, not a vacation.

TRIP DETAILS:

Destination: Boca Chica, Dominican Republic

Dates: September 19-26th, 2026

Cost: $2000

  • The cost of the trip includes all transportation, lodging, meals (except travel meals), t-shirts, and materials. A $200 deposit is required at registration.

  • For students whose parents are members of our church, we are glad to offer financial support of up to 50% of the trip cost, if needed. All students are encouraged to fundraise toward the full trip cost, with this support coming alongside their efforts.

 

Student Requirements:

  1. Be a high school student currently in grades 9-11.

  2. Attend the eight weeks of training. See the training schedule below for details.

  3. Attend at least 70% of all MHCC Sunday morning worship services and Sunday night student ministry services beginning January 1, 2026, for the duration of the trip.

Official Trip Commitment Form Due: April 8th

Deposit Due: April 12th

Second Payment Due: July 31st

Final Payment Due: September 1st

TRAININGS

We will have a total of seven trainings before we leave for the trip. 

ALL trainings are MANDATORY and are on Sunday afternoons.

  • April 12th | 12:30-2pm

  • May 31st | 12:30-2pm

  • July 12th | 12:30-2pm

  • August 9th | 12:30-2pm

  • August 16th | 12:30-2pm

  • August 23rd | 12:30-2pm

  • September 6th | 12:30-2pm (Final Training)

  • September 13th | 12:30-2pm (Parent Meeting)

  • September 18th | 6-8pm (Packing Party)

We leave for the Dominican Republic on Saturday, September 19th. 

WHERE WE STAY:

Our team will stay in a private, gated villa located in a quiet rural area. The property is designed for mission teams with plenty of common space and debrief areas.
