Are there opportunities to serve if my student is not ready/selected?

Students can apply to serve at Woodlands Freestyle Camp through Sanctuary Church.(https://sanctuaryinhim.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3073762) Freestyle Camp is a day camp for elementary age kids. Accepted students will support Sanctuary Church and serve with the Freestyle staff as necessary. Those accepted will also participate in a discipleship program focused on leadership.

How can I serve as a parent?

Parents can serve in several ways during Power Up Club. You can host a club at your home or help support a host home, supply food to help feed our teams throughout the week, volunteer at Power Surge, and commit to praying for our students, leaders, and the children we are reaching. Where do students stay?

Students eat, sleep, and prepare at the church. Sleeping arrangements are separated by gender and are monitored by approved adult supervision.

POWER UP CLUB 2026

DATES: JUNE 20-25, 2026

Power Up Club is our local mission trip where students serve in our community by leading VBS-style Bible clubs for elementary-aged children and younger in nearby neighborhoods. Students will sleep, eat, and prepare at the church, then go out in teams to host high-energy clubs with games, skits, Bible teaching, and Gospel conversations. Participation is selective, as Power Up Club is a mission opportunity focused on sharing the Gospel and developing student leadership.

TRIP DETAILS:

Dates: June 20-25th, 2026

Cost: $100

The cost of the trip includes all transportation, lodging, meals, t-shirts, and materials.

Student Requirements:

Be a student in rising into grades 7-12.
Attend the Saturday training date and all days of the trip.
Demonstrate consistent attendance in MHS Sunday Night gatherings beginning January 1, 2026, through the duration of the trip. Regular involvement in discipleship groups, Sunday morning services, and/or church serving opportunities will also be taken into consideration in the application and selection process.

POWER UP CLUB MINISTRY:

Throughout the week of Power Up Club, students will serve daily in ministry teams leading Bible clubs for elementary-aged children and younger across our community. Each team will host high-energy, 75-minute clubs that include games, skits, Bible teaching, and intentional Gospel conversations. Students will begin each day preparing together at the church and will gather each evening for worship, teaching, and team reflection. Time is also built in for rest, relationship-building, and processing what God is doing throughout the week.
