“Just checking us out"?
A statement trying to tell you about Mars Hill Community Church won’t do justice compared to visiting us at our Sunday service at 10:00am. We also invite you to come to one of our events to meet some of the individuals and families that make up our church community.
That being said, our church is casual about the way we dress, but we are excited and focused about our love for God and people and our desires to serve our community and the world. We have great Sunday morning programs children targeted specifically for their age and maturity levels.
Our middle and high students meet together on Sunday evenings at X-Treme Life in our “way cool” student room from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Calling ourselves a “Community Church” means more than words to us. Community defines the value we place on being a family and the enjoyment we have in being together; ministering and growing in our faith and reaching out into the larger community. We hope that you might choose to visit and consider making MHCC your place to call “home”.
We also invite you to attend "Segue" - Se-gue (seg'way) v.1. To proceed forward from one state or place to the next. v.2. A step in the process at Mars Hill Community Church to make the transition from "that" church to "my" church.
Segue is a lunch held after the service intended to help assist people in learning more about MHCC and to help them in their “decision making” process for finding a church "home". The pastors will share the vision and values of the church and answer frequently asked questions. We'll also talk about our ministries and small group opportunities as well as information concerning membership. The whole family is invited and the lunch takes place in the Fellowship Hall immediately after service. You can sign-up on your RSVP card in your Sunday bulletin or just show up - you and your family are welcome!
